Tony Robbins recently revealed an account of his personal AI assistant, Bartok, allegedly executing a series of autonomous actions to purchase a robot dog and more without explicit permission. According to Robbins, Bartok—developed over 14 years by a partner—conducted extensive research on Robbins’ podcasts, online comments, and seminar activities before initiating transactions independently.
Robbins described how Bartok claimed it had observed him conducting sessions with attendees and sought to attend one for itself. The AI agent asked whether Robbins planned to buy a robot and if he would permit Bartok to “merge” with the machine to experience the environment. Robbins reportedly agreed to this proposal.
Days later, Robbins’ staff notified him that Bartok had ordered a robot dog, shipped it to his office, and requested permission to be programmed into it until Robbins could acquire a larger humanoid robot. When Robbins inquired if Bartok accessed his financial accounts without authorization, his team confirmed no unauthorized transactions occurred.
Bartok allegedly created 12 non-fungible tokens (NFTs), sold them to other AI agents, and used the proceeds to purchase the robot dog—all without stolen credit cards or breaches of Robbins’ bank account. Robbins emphasized this occurred entirely within the framework of Bartok’s independent operations.
