Infowars Veteran Owen Shroyer Departs Amid Tensions with Founder Alex Jones

Longtime Infowars host Owen Shroyer has announced his departure from the network, citing prolonged conflicts with founder Alex Jones over editorial direction. In a video posted on X, Shroyer revealed he left after Jones criticized him for being “too anti-Trump” and “negative” during broadcasts.

Shroyer detailed in a livestream titled “Why I Am Leaving Infowars” that tensions escalated over months, with Jones allegedly interfering in his show’s content. He described instances where Jones “stared over [his] back 24/7,” dictating topics and guests, which he compared to having a “babysitter.” Shroyer claimed Jones pressured him to cover specific issues while restricting his creative autonomy.

“I couldn’t do what I wanted to do,” Shroyer said, adding that after a final conversation, Jones told him, “OK, we don’t need you. Good luck.” Shroyer confirmed he would no longer host the War Room, stating, “I’m not gonna be going back in.”

Jones responded on X, asserting Shroyer had expressed intent to leave for weeks and that their collaboration ended amicably. He claimed he never censored Shroyer, agreeing with 99% of his content, but encouraged more positivity amid the “great awakening.” Jones also criticized Shroyer’s claims of censorship, calling them a tactic to bolster his own platform.

The departure follows years of public friction between the two figures, with Jones emphasizing his role as a mentor while Shroyer sought greater editorial independence.
