Ford has issued a recall affecting over 355,000 pickup trucks following reports of dashboard display malfunctions. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) confirmed the recall, which includes certain 2025 F-150 models and 2025-2026 Super Duty trucks such as the F-550, F-450, F-350, and F-250. The instrument panel cluster may fail during startup, causing a blank screen that prevents drivers from accessing critical safety information and gauges.
The NHTSA noted 95 warranty claims were reported by June 26, though no accidents or injuries have been linked to the defect. Ford will provide free software updates to resolve the issue, available through authorized dealerships or over-the-air downloads. The defective software, introduced in June 2024 and discontinued in July 2025, affects all 355,656 vehicles covered by the recall.
This follows another recall of nearly 500,000 vehicles due to a brake fluid leak, impacting certain 2016-2018 Lincoln MKX and 2015-2018 Edge SUV models. The rear brake hose may rupture, increasing stopping distance and crash risk. Ford has not disclosed further details on the cause or corrective measures for this issue.
The company’s recent recalls highlight ongoing challenges with vehicle safety systems, though no specific statements from Ford executives were provided in the NHTSA reports.
