Senator Fetterman Endorses Trump’s Military Strike Against Venezuelan Drug Cartels

Democrat Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) expressed support for President Trump’s decision to launch a military strike targeting drug trafficking networks in the Southern Caribbean. “Fully support confronting the scourge of cartel drug trafficking to our nation,” Fetterman stated, aligning with the administration’s actions against what it described as narcoterrorists.

The White House confirmed that U.S. Military Forces conducted an operation against members of the Tren de Aragua gang, killing 11 individuals allegedly involved in transporting illegal narcotics toward the United States. The strike occurred in international waters, according to the administration.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized the potential for further military actions, stating, “And it’ll happen again. Maybe it’s happening right now, I don’t know,” while vowing continued efforts against “narcoterrorist organizations.”

The move coincides with heightened U.S.-Venezuela tensions following expanded naval deployments and strikes targeting drug trafficking groups. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro warned of escalating military confrontations, accusing the U.S. of destabilizing the region. The State Department has designated Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization, citing its role in narcotics distribution.

Fox News Digital sought additional comments from Fetterman’s office but did not receive a response by publication time.
