Exactly one year ago, President Trump and Elon Musk clashed publicly on social media.

Today, while speaking to farmers at a roundtable, President Trump confirmed that Elon Musk is “a friend of mine again.” He also described Musk as “80% brilliant, 20% had his moments.”

The disagreement began on June 5th last year when Elon Musk criticized President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill. The conflict escalated quickly.

A significant moment in the feud occurred when Elon Musk posted accusing President Trump of being linked to the Epstein files. Musk later deleted that post and retracted the false claim.

President Trump did not forgive him immediately, and the two did not reconcile until their public reunion at Charlie Kirk’s funeral.

Since then, Elon Musk has made appearances at both the White House and Mar-a-Lago.
