Actor Tom Holland was hospitalized after a stunt accident during filming of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” suffering a mild concussion and temporarily pausing production. The 29-year-old actor, known for his role as Spider-Man, was treated and released from the hospital following the incident. A woman believed to be a stunt double was also taken to the hospital.
Filming at Leavesden Studios in Watford, Herts, was suspended on Friday, with reports suggesting the pause could last weeks. Production of the £150 million film has been halted for at least a week, though sources indicate the July 31, 2026 theatrical release date remains unaffected.
Holland’s father, comedian Dominic Holland, confirmed his son would be away from filming “for a while” during a charity event in Mayfair. The actor was present at the event and posed for photos with co-star and fiancée Zendaya, 28.
The accident occurred on the Pinewood Studios set in London, where Holland reportedly sustained the concussion during a stunt. No other crew members or cast were injured. Production is scheduled to resume on September 29.
