The identity of Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the alleged assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has been linked to 22-year-old Lance Twiggs, who is cooperating with authorities.
Robinson, who was living with Twiggs in a three-bedroom apartment in Saint George, Utah, shared a large Discord chat group with his roommate, according to friends. Law enforcement obtained incriminating messages from the platform, including discussions about the whereabouts of a rifle tied to the shooting and engraving bullets. Twiggs also provided texts detailing Robinson’s plans, leading to his arrest.
Reports surfaced that Robinson was living with a “transgender boyfriend,” though these claims remain unconfirmed. It is unclear if Twiggs is the individual referenced in such reports, as he has not been named in official documents. His grandfather, Jerry Twiggs, declined to comment on rumors about his grandson’s gender transition, stating, “I’m not sure what his situation is exactly right now.”
Twiggs, a student at Utah Tech University, was described by the Daily Mail as an avid gamer with a TikTok bio referencing aspirations to become a “TikTok pro.” Robinson attended a nearby college. Both were part of the same online community, where discussions about the attack allegedly took place.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox stated that the investigation suggests Robinson was “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” though no official motive has been confirmed. Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the case.
