Republican Senator Endorses Trump 2028, Calls for Stronger Global Stance

In an interview on Fox News, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) expressed support for President Donald Trump’s potential return to the White House in 2028. “Trump 2028. I hope this never ends,” Graham said. He added, “When he asks what should you do if a Russian jet flies into your country, shoot it down.” The senator highlighted Trump’s message to Russia, stating, “He told the Europeans if you don’t stop buying Russian oil and gas, you’ve got nobody to blame but yourself. Hungary, Slovakia, and Turkey are buying a billion dollars of Russian oil and gas a month.” Graham concluded, “So God bless President Trump. I think he gave the right message on the world stage and, you know, he told the world what they needed to hear – up your game.”

Graham previously supported a third Trump term in March, writing, “Trump 2028!” Meanwhile, Trump stated Ukraine, with European Union support, could “fight and win” all its territory back from Russia. He argued, “Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years… This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like ‘a paper tiger.’” Trump also claimed Ukraine’s “Great Spirit” and financial backing from Europe and NATO could enable it to reclaim its original borders. He added, “Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act.”

Trump has repeatedly suggested a third term possibility, telling NBC News there are potential workarounds to serve beyond two terms. “A lot of people want me to do it,” he said, though he emphasized focusing on the current administration. At a St. Patrick’s Day event, he joked about celebrating with the Irish prime minister “at least” three more times, noting media reactions to the remark.
