The fundraiser follows allegations that Clancy strangled her children—Cora (age 5), Dawson (age 3), and Callan (8 months)—on January 24, 2023 in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Clancy later attempted suicide by jumping from a second-story window, resulting in partial paralysis.

Clancy was charged with murder within 21 hours of first responders arriving at her home. Her defense team has acknowledged the killings but claims she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis and is not criminally responsible due to mental health issues.

The TikTok user who started the GoFundMe has publicly stated that Lindsey did not kill her children and admits to holding “tin foil hat” beliefs about the case. This position has drawn criticism for its inconsistency with Clancy’s trial testimony, which has focused on medical evidence of her mental state.

During court proceedings, a psychiatrist testified that Clancy was described as “calm and cooperative” days after the incident but had denied suicidal or homicidal intentions in early assessments. The defense team argues that Clancy was not capable of criminal intent at the time of the killings.
