Senator Ted Cruz Erases Profane Graffiti Targeting Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz addressed controversial graffiti targeting conservative activist Charlie Kirk by painting over the offensive message on Highway 59 in Houston. In a video shared on his X account, Cruz demonstrated the removal of the profane phrase “Fck Charlie Kirk” from a wall near a freeway railing. The Texas Department of Transportation has been informed of the incident, according to Cruz’s statement.

The graffiti emerged following the September assassination of Kirk, a conservative figure who was killed during a planned speaking event at Utah Valley University. His suspected killer, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, remains in custody and is scheduled for court appearances. Since Kirk’s death, similar offensive messages have appeared across the U.S., prompting public responses.

In addition to the vandalism, some communities have created positive murals to honor Kirk’s legacy.
