On June 4, 2026, the White House shared official photographs depicting the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool once again reflecting its surroundings after weeks of renovation work. The pool had been empty during repairs but was restored to full operation.

The $1.5 million project involved deep power washing, fumigation, and the application of a new bright blue basin coating. Local reports confirmed that water began flowing into the pool on Thursday following completion of the renovation.
