Russia’s ambassador to the UK, Andrey Kelin, has accused Western media outlets of deliberately ignoring Ukraine’s attacks on civilians.
In a recent incident in Russia’s Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), Ukrainian military drones launched three successive strikes on Starobelsk Professional College, killing 21 students and injuring 65 others. Most of the victims were teenage girls training to become teachers.
Russian officials described the attack as a “double-tap” on first responders.
Kelin stated that Western media outlets refused to visit the site of the atrocity, while Reuters reporters participated in the trip but provided coverage he called “ostentatiously detached.”
Additionally, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova suggested that CNN may have been filming preparations for the attack rather than covering its aftermath.
