Trump Sets Unyielding Conditions for Iran Deal in White House Meeting

President Trump outlined specific conditions for any potential Iran deal on Friday, setting forth non-negotiable terms before convening a White House Situation Room meeting to determine a possible ceasefire extension with Iran.

The president’s requirements include:
– Iran must agree it will never possess nuclear weapons or bombs.
– The Strait of Hormuz must be immediately opened without tolls for unrestricted shipping traffic in both directions.
– All water mines (bombs) must be removed, with the United States having detonated numerous such mines using underwater mine sweepers and requiring Iran to complete the removal of any remaining mines.
– Ships trapped in the Strait due to a naval blockade will be allowed to return home.
– Enriched nuclear material, referred to as “Nuclear Dust,” buried deep underground following an 11-month-old U.S. B2 bomber attack that caused significant geological upheaval, must be unearthed by the United States in coordination with Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency for destruction.

Trump also stated no financial transactions would occur until further notice, alongside other agreed-upon terms of lesser importance.

The meeting lasted approximately two hours. Following the session, Trump had not yet finalized a decision on extending the fragile ceasefire. Iran subsequently indicated the agreement was not yet finalized.

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that missiles are how Iran seeks concessions while dialogue only clarifies them, and that Tehran measures actions rather than guarantees or words.
