Trump Receives Grand Welcome During Historic UK Visit

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania were welcomed with military honors as they arrived at Windsor Castle during their second state visit to the United Kingdom. The presidential entourage was greeted by 1,300 service members, 120 horses, and ceremonial traditions dating back centuries.

The visit featured a formal inspection of troops on meticulously groomed lawns, with Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and other senior royals in attendance. A band played the Stars and Stripes as Trump and Melania emerged from ornate carriages in the castle’s quadrangle.

Trump’s trip included discussions on trade agreements and global issues, though royal ceremonies dominated public focus. Among the gifts exchanged, Trump received a leather volume marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence and a Buckingham Palace flag from his 2025 inauguration. Melania was presented with an Anya Hindmarch handbag and a silver bowl crafted by Northern Irish artist Cara Murphy. King Charles III received a replica of President Eisenhower’s sword, symbolizing Anglo-American military ties.

Protesters gathered outside the castle to voice opposition to Trump’s presence, but the day remained centered on formalities and diplomatic exchanges.
