Trump Honors Giuliani with Top Civilian Honor Amid Injury Recovery

President Donald Trump announced he will bestow the Presidential Medal of Honor on Rudy Giuliani, citing his efforts to clean up New York City, combat the 2020 election “steal,” and his recent actions aiding a domestic violence victim. The decision was shared on TruthSocial, with Trump emphasizing Giuliani’s “five lifetimes” of service.

Giuliani suffered severe injuries in a car accident last night in New Hampshire. According to an official statement, he stopped to assist a woman involved in a domestic violence incident, contacted 911, and remained on the scene until emergency responders arrived. Later, his vehicle was struck from behind at high speed, resulting in a fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations, contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg.

Giuliani’s business partner and medical provider were present at the hospital, where he is reported to be “conscious, alert, and strong.” His head of security, Michael Ragusa, stated Giuliani is recovering well and expects to return to normal activities soon. Ragusa also dismissed speculation about the accident, calling it “not a targeted attack” and urging privacy for Giuliani’s recovery.

The statement did not address concerns about safety protocols following the incident.
