Rudy Giuliani has made significant progress in his health recovery, with doctors reporting that he has been successfully removed from a ventilator and is now breathing independently.
Dr. Maria Ryan, Giuliani’s physician, provided an update saying the patient’s condition had improved dramatically. She referred to the recovery as “a miracle” and expressed confidence that Giuliani will make a full recovery.
According to Dr. Ryan, Giuliani began experiencing symptoms after returning from a trip to Paris. His breathing deteriorated rapidly, requiring hospitalization and placement on a ventilator. His condition became critical enough for a priest to be called to his bedside to perform last rites.
By Tuesday, however, doctors determined that Giuliani’s condition had stabilized sufficiently to remove him from the ventilator. He is now able to speak and remains in critical but stable condition.
Dr. Ryan emphasized Giuliani’s resilience, stating: “He’s a fighter — the way he was yesterday in such a critical condition, he did have a priest come anoint him. And all the prayers from around — it’s like a miracle. This guy’s got 9 lives.”
She also noted that Giuliani has a health history related to his exposure at Ground Zero following the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which led to a diagnosis of restrictive airway disease.
Ted Goodman recently provided an update on Giuliani’s health, calling him “the ultimate fighter” and stating that God is playing a role in healing him.
