Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has shared his experience following a car accident last weekend, emphasizing the impact of a phone call from former President Donald Trump. Appearing on Laura Loomer’s show, Giuliani revealed that Trump contacted him twice after learning of the crash, including an announcement that he would bestow the Presidential Medal of Freedom upon him. “Mr. President, you’ve given me the only medicine that will really cure me. I feel perfectly fine now,” Giuliani said, describing the call as a pivotal moment in his recovery.
Giuliani also highlighted Trump’s role in his health during the COVID-19 pandemic, crediting the former president for prescribing medications that facilitated his rapid recovery. On LindellTV, he reiterated that the “best medicine” came from Trump’s support, referring to him as “President Dr. Trump.”
The accident occurred on Saturday when Giuliani and his spokesperson, Ted Goodman, were traveling in a rented Ford Bronco on Interstate 93 in New Hampshire. A 19-year-old woman driving a Honda HR-V struck their vehicle from behind, causing both cars to collide with the highway median. Giuliani sustained a fractured thoracic vertebra, lacerations, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg, while Goodman and the driver suffered non-life-threatening wounds.
Giuliani recounted that prior to the crash, they had encountered a woman who claimed to be in distress due to domestic abuse. They attempted to assist her but later discovered the incident was unrelated to the collision. Investigators confirmed the crash was under review, with no charges filed.
Giuliani described the impact of the crash as “the hardest I’ve ever been hit in my whole life,” noting he and Goodman were wearing seatbelts but experienced severe pain afterward. He expressed gratitude for his recovery, attributing it to Trump’s support.
