FBI Director Kash Patel disclosed that DNA results from a towel and rifle linked to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk have been confirmed. The evidence matches Tyler Robinson, the accused assassin.
Patel revealed during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” that DNA found on a screwdriver and a towel wrapped around a firearm recovered near Utah Valley University matches Robinson. Authorities stated Robinson fled the campus after the shooting, discarding the weapon in nearby woods before being apprehended.
Robinson is currently under restricted monitoring in Utah and has not cooperated with investigators. Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino emphasized transparency in the probe, noting family members described Robinson as increasingly politically engaged. Bongino suggested an ideological motive, citing Robinson’s alleged obsession with Kirk, a prominent conservative figure.
