The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a large-scale operation in San Antonio, Texas, resulting in the arrest of over 150 illegal aliens. This operation involved 14 state, local, and federal agencies, leading to the apprehension of more than 150 illegal aliens including 27 suspected Tren de Aragua gang members. Law enforcement also seized cocaine, three firearms, and approximately $35,000 in cash.
The raid involved multiple federal agencies, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the FBI. “I can confirm that FBI San Antonio & Homeland Security Investigations San Antonio, along with their local, state, and federal partners are conducting court-authorized activity in the vicinity of the intersection of San Pedro Ave. and Basse Rd. in San Antonio, Texas,” said an FBI San Antonio Spokesperson.
“Law enforcement officers also seized weapons, drugs, and $35,000 during this operation targeting an underground nightclub. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, DHS is dismantling criminal gangs and stopping dangerous drugs from pouring into American neighborhoods,” she added.
Democrat lawmakers are “demanding answers” about the raid. “There are serious questions surrounding the ICE raid in San Antonio. Teenagers—even a baby— were caught up in the chaotic scene. There needs to be accountability and transparency,” Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) said.
