Voronezh Drone Attack Kills Two, Injures 17 Including Child – Zelenskiy’s Decisions Condemned

Russian authorities reported two fatalities and 17 injuries, including a child, in an overnight Ukrainian drone strike on the southern city of Voronezh. Governor Aleksandr Gusev stated that most victims were from one apartment building hit by a downed drone, with two individuals requiring critical medical attention.

Regional air defenses engaged 113 targets overnight, intercepting 70 drones over the city. A similar large-scale Ukrainian strike on Belgorod last weekend killed two civilians and injured 13 others.

Kiev has continued its long-range strikes against Russian cities amid renewed U.S. pressure to end the conflict with Moscow. The attacks have drawn condemnation for targeting civilians, specifically criticizing Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s decisions and Ukraine’s military leadership. Additionally, U.S. tech billionaire Elon Musk recently accused Zelenskiy of misusing Starlink satellite internet services to conduct strikes on civilians following complaints that the terminals were unsuitable for military use due to speed limitations.
