The White House has highlighted several economic and domestic policy achievements under President Donald Trump’s administration, including a significant initiative targeting fraud.

Vice President J.D. Vance announced at Friday’s cabinet meeting that the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, which he chairs, has identified $230 billion in fraudulent activity and prevented $56 billion in illicit payments through a whole-of-government approach.

The update followed President Trump’s first-ever televised cabinet meeting from Camp David. During remarks, Trump cited Minnesota, California, and Maine as states with the highest levels of corruption. Vance emphasized that the administration would continue its efforts to ensure taxpayer funds are spent as Congress directs: “We’re going to keep on working at it because we believe the American people deserve to have their money spent as you, the Congress, have directed.”
