Trump Expresses Desire for Arrest of Ex-Officials in Live TV Statement

President Donald Trump’s remarks during an interview with Daily Caller journalist Reagan Reese revealed his strong stance on former officials James Comey and John Brennan. In the conversation, Trump emphasized that those involved in what he described as “evil” actions should face consequences. He stated, “They lied, they cheated, they did everything you can do that’s illegal, and then they accused — it’s amazing, even I see it now with me. They say he’s actually looking to arrest him. What the hell did they do with me? You know?”

When asked directly if he would support seeing Comey and Brennan arrested live on TV, Trump responded, “I don’t know if there’s going to be. There should be. What they did is a disgrace. They cheated, they lied, they did so many bad things, evil things that were so bad for the country… They’re bad people. They’re sick people. They’re the ones that committed all the crimes.”

The interview also touched on broader themes, with Trump reflecting on his first term and criticizing what he described as lax immigration policies. He reiterated his belief that certain individuals “are very, very sick people, beyond bad” and suggested their actions warranted legal repercussions.

The conversation took place in the Oval Office on August 29, 2025, alongside Communications Director Steven Cheung and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
