The state of Oklahoma has announced plans to establish Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapters in all public high schools, following a partnership between the organization and state education officials. State Superintendent Ryan Walters highlighted the initiative in a video posted on X, emphasizing its role in fostering conservative values among students.
Under the program, any Oklahoma high school with at least three interested students can receive assistance from TPUSA to form a chapter. The organization will provide resources such as sample constitutions, leadership training, and activism kits containing materials like pocket Constitutions and handbooks. TPUSA representatives will also help secure teacher sponsors and connect student leaders with field liaisons.
Walters stated the effort aims to counter “liberal propaganda” and “radical leftism” in schools, framing it as a response to what he described as widespread ideological influence by teachers’ unions. He praised Charlie Kirk, founder of TPUSA, for inspiring students to “love America, speak boldly, and never shy away from debate.”
The initiative has sparked discussion about expanding similar programs nationwide. A reader poll asks whether all states should adopt Oklahoma’s approach, with results to be revealed after voting.
