Over 60,000 individuals gathered at State Farm Stadium for Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, with thousands redirected to a secondary venue as capacity was exceeded. The NFL-hosted stadium, which holds 73,000 for major events, saw attendees camping overnight ahead of the ceremony. Additional space was provided at the Desert Diamond Arena, which can accommodate an extra 19,000 people, though many were turned away.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, attended the event and shared a video from inside the stadium. The service featured speeches from prominent figures, including former President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and several Cabinet members. Trump described the day as “a tough day” but emphasized celebrating Kirk’s life. Other speakers included Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, Susie Wiles, and Stephen Miller.
Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, who leads Turning Point USA, was also scheduled to speak. The event drew significant security measures typically reserved for high-profile gatherings like the Super Bowl.
