Spencer Pratt Blasts Media for “Destroying” Local Elections Amid Trump Endorsement Buzz

Although he might appreciate the gesture, Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt is making it clear he’s not on a mission to collect high-profile endorsements … even from the president.

Amid an almost unprecedented surge in the polls across the far-left city, Pratt’s commonsense message is resonating among voters far beyond LA’s borders.

President Donald Trump has taken notice, as evidenced by his recent statement of support. Less than two weeks before the city’s June 2 primary, the president told reporters Pratt is a “big MAGA person,” adding: “I’d like to see him do well. He’s a character.”

Pratt, who rose to fame in his role on MTV’s “The Hills,” stated he doesn’t need anyone’s endorsement but mothers: “That’s who’s getting me elected.” The former reality star emphasized that his race is local: “My race is a local race. I don’t care what’s going on in the national politics, in other states. I am running for a local position.”

When asked about potential Trump endorsement, Pratt told NBC News: “This, this right here, what you’re doing, you having this conversation is what’s destroyed local elections.” He added that his campaign focuses solely on community concerns: “People don’t care. In L.A., they want to feel safe, they don’t want to step in human poop.”

Pratt’s unique campaign has been the subject of significant social media speculation, particularly in the wake of Trump’s recent comments.
