Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar has expressed fury over President Trump’s recent expansion of the travel ban targeting third-world countries.
Today, President Trump added 20 additional countries to the list of restricted nations.
Somalia, Omar’s home country, was already included in the original travel ban.
After the announcement, Omar appeared on CNN to describe the policy as “cruel and inhumane.”
She further stated that it is these third-world nations that are responsible for terrorism, fraud, and theft from taxpayers.
Omar also noted that if she opposes this travel ban, it indicates President Trump is addressing issues left unresolved by previous administrations.
