Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has apologized for his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, directing the apology to employees at the Gates Foundation.

In his apology, Gates admitted to having two affairs with Russian women while married to his former wife, Melinda French Gates.

Gates met Jeffrey Epstein in 2011, after the financier’s Florida conviction for procuring a child for prostitution. He continued socializing with Epstein — seemingly ignoring concerns raised by Melinda French Gates.

The billionaire has always denied wrongdoing over his Epstein links but admitted to affairs during his marriage to Melinda French Gates, who filed for divorce in 2021.

“I did have affairs, one with a Russian bridge player who met me at bridge events, and one with a Russian nuclear physicist who I met through business activities,” he told employees.

In 2014, an engineer employed at the Gates’ residence was arrested for possessing child exploitation materials. The man, Rick Allen Jones, admitted to collecting child pornography over a decade.
