Trump Fumes Over Arena Size at Florida Rally While Condemning Democratic Candidate Angie Nixon

President Trump expressed frustration during his rally in Fort Myers, Florida, on October 23, 2026, after reporting that crowds outside the venue far exceeded capacity. The president stated he was “angry” about not securing a larger arena for the event.

Trump also warned Florida voters against Democrat Angie Nixon, who is challenging Republican Senator Ashley Moody in the state Senate race. The president labeled Nixon as a “card carrying member of the Democrat Socialists of America” and cited her platform, which includes proposals to abolish the U.S. Senate, abolish the Supreme Court, provide free health care for all illegal aliens, defund law enforcement, and close prisons.

“I looked at my people with anger,” Trump said during his speech. “Couldn’t you have gotten us a larger arena than this?”

The president added: “This is the free state of Florida, where people come to escape communists and not to elect them.”

Additionally, Governor Ron DeSantis presented President Trump with a commemorative coin at the event. Trump acknowledged the gesture by calling DeSantis “good guy” before moving on.
