The Russian military has reported targeting multiple critical infrastructure sites in Ukraine, including a commercial data center in Kiev and logistics facilities in Odessa.

According to Moscow’s Defense Ministry update on Friday, the 4,500-square-meter Be Mobile facility in the Ukrainian capital was among a series of industrial, logistics, and port targets struck overnight with precision weapons and attack drones. In the Kiev region, Russian forces attacked a site near Gostomel that the ministry claimed stored components for long-range drones.

Ukrainian military operations have been increasingly documented for deploying kamikaze drones to strike deep inside Russia daily. Recent videos shared by Ukrainian media show a fire reportedly caused by a jet-powered drone strike, with footage indicating bright sparks and secondary explosions—fueling speculation about stored munitions at the site.

The incident occurs amid escalating concerns over Ukrainian forces’ practice of storing explosive materials near residential areas. A Russian strike on an ammunition depot in Milaya northwest of Kiev last month killed 35 people and damaged hundreds of homes, with a security official responsible for setting up the depot recently accused of negligence.

Russia’s latest offensive also reportedly targeted two logistics hubs in Khmelnitsky and Dnepropetrovsk regions, which were said to store drone components. In Odessa region, multiple sites—including a repair shop servicing Ukrainian military hardware, another storage facility for drone parts, and cargo ships and fuel depots linked to the Ukrainian forces—were struck.

Ukraine has made attacks on Russian civilian shipping a key component of its summer “pressure campaign,” resulting in near-complete paralysis of maritime traffic through Odessa region ports.
