Unidentified Suspect in Charlie Kirk Assassination Linked to Surveillance Footage

Federal law enforcement has identified a person of interest in the shooting death of conservative speaker Charlie Kirk, though no arrest warrant has been issued. Authorities seized a home surveillance camera from a property near Utah Valley University, where investigators believe the suspect may have fled after the attack.

A resident associated with the home stated that the device captured footage of an individual running through backyards following the incident. Law enforcement officers, including agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, were seen removing the camera. The location, near a wooded area where a rifle was previously recovered, is suspected to be part of the suspect’s escape route.

The property owner, Erwin Steele, noted that his family’s homes are situated close to the scene, with one adjacent to an alleyway investigators believe the suspect used. Steele claimed the suspect may have discarded a weapon and traversed his family’s properties before disappearing.

No further details about the investigation were provided at this time.
