Trump Confronts Protesters at D.C. Restaurant Amid ‘Free Palestine’ Chants

President Donald Trump faced off with protesters during a rare public outing Tuesday night at Joe’s Seafood in downtown Washington, D.C., where he was met with chants of “Free Palestine” and accusations of being “Hitler.”

As Trump arrived at the restaurant via motorcade, accompanied by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and other officials, a group from the activist organization Code Pink interrupted his visit. The protesters, holding Palestinian flags, chanted, “Free D.C., free Palestine, Trump is the Hitler of our time,” according to NBC News.

Trump reportedly stood facing the demonstrators, smiling before gesturing for them to leave. Security escorted the protesters out as one shouted, “He’s terrorizing communities in D.C.” The incident occurred amid broader discussions about crime rates in the nation’s capital, with Trump telling reporters outside the restaurant, “It’s got virtually no crime” compared to previous years.

Inside the establishment, Trump engaged with patrons, reassuring them they “won’t be mugged going home” and advising against excessive drinking. The encounter marked a brief but tense moment during his visit, which included interactions with staff and guests.
