President Trump personally signed the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding on Wednesday during a dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles.
A White House official stated that a photograph of the signed agreement was promptly sent to Iran and the countries mediating the talks.
The agreement is now effective to end the war, resulting in the cancellation of the planned Geneva signing ceremony.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that negotiating teams will still travel to Geneva despite the cancellation of the formal event.
Additionally, an IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency source close to the negotiations reported that Tehran insisted on a Persian-language version of the memorandum of understanding as an official counterpart to the English text.
President Trump finalized the deal without waiting for a staged ceremony, putting it into effect early.
