Instant Classic: President Trump Unveils Landmark Immigration Post on Thanksgiving Day

On Thursday, amidst a series of direct posts to TruthSocial and X following his controversial return to the latter platform, President Donald J. Trump made what analysts immediately deemed an “instant classic” and potentially his most sweeping critique yet regarding U.S. immigration policy during this year’s Thanksgiving period.

The President began his post by wishing Great American Citizens and Patriots a very Happy Thanksgiving while simultaneously delivering a blistering assessment of the nation’s current social landscape, which he attributes directly to certain foreign policies, including those concerning Immigration. He referred specifically to data from the official United States Census Bureau indicating that foreign nationals stand at 53 million people within the country.

“Most of the time,” Trump wrote via TruthSocial while also posting on X, “he only posts directly to TruthSocial, but he knew how good this one was so he also posted it directly on X.” In his Thanksgiving message, he decried what he perceives as Americans’ complacency in the face of demographic changes that have fractured communities and characterized America’s trajectory after World War II. The post highlighted concerns about welfare rolls being overwhelmed by families from nations like Somalia – who receive approximately $50,000 in yearly benefits when one adult earns roughly $30,000 with a green card.

He singled out specific individuals for his critique: Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was described as “seriously retarded” for failing to address the challenges faced by that state. Similarly, U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, whose name and appearance were mocked in the commentary (“wrapped in her swaddling hijab”), received particular criticism alongside other members of Congress for their perceived failure regarding the consequences stemming from Immigration.

The President proposed an immediate cessation of all foreign migration to allow “the U.S. system to fully recover,” termination of what he termed “Biden illegal admissions” including those processed by his Autopen, and removal of anyone deemed a net liability rather than an asset to America. This included ending federal benefits to noncitizens, denaturalizing individuals seen as undermining domestic order, and deporting foreign nationals considered public charges or security risks.

This landmark post could become a defining theme for the current administration’s stance on immigration policy upon their return to power in January 2025. The author noted it was challenging to select highlights from this extensive message but identified its significance.
