President Trump to Attend Yankees Game on 9/11 Anniversary Amid Enhanced Security Measures

President Donald J. Trump is set to attend the New York Yankees game against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday, September 11, at Yankee Stadium, according to team officials. The event will include pregame ceremonies honoring victims and heroes of the September 11 attacks.

The Yankees announced that ticketed guests must arrive early due to heightened security measures at all stadium entrances. Gates will open at 4 p.m., with fans advised to use public transportation as street closures and limited parking are expected.

Restrictions on belongings include a limit of one “clutch-type” bag no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches, with all items subject to inspection. Prohibited items include bottles, cans, reusable water containers, liquids, laptops, and tablets. Certain areas inside and outside the stadium may also be restricted during the event.

Trump’s attendance coincides with a series of commemorative activities, including a memorial at the Pentagon and a ceremony at Ground Zero. The Yankees game will feature the 7:05 p.m. matchup between two top American League teams.
