The incident occurred just steps from Wall Street’s iconic Charging Bull statue, sending crowds into disarray.

Firefighters arrived at the scene around 5:42 PM and battled the blaze for over an hour before bringing it under control shortly before 7 PM.

Thick black smoke billowed across the financial district, creating a dramatic scene near one of New York City’s most visited tourist spots.

No injuries have been reported, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority confirmed the vehicle was MTA-owned and referred further inquiries to the Fire Department of New York (FDNY).
