Three Homeless Individuals Found Dead Amid New York City’s Severe Winter Conditions

New York City authorities have reported that three homeless individuals were discovered dead following a significant drop in temperatures due to an ongoing winter storm.

The deaths occurred between 7 and 9 a.m. Saturday, with two bodies found in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan. Police officials confirmed none of the deceased exhibited physical signs of trauma, and investigators suspect each died from weather-related circumstances.

According to available information, a man in his 60s was discovered on a sidewalk near 3rd Avenue at approximately 7:45 a.m. A second body was spotted on an outdoor staircase along Warren Street in Brooklyn, while the third individual was found in Canarsie.

City officials stated that medical examiners will conduct individual investigations to determine the official causes of death for each person.

The incident occurs just weeks after New York City Mayor Zohran Madani was inaugurated as the city’s mayor. During his statements prior to the storm, Madani warned residents about temperatures expected to drop below average and heavy snowfall, noting the event would bring intense cold and frigid conditions lasting through the week.
