A Trump adviser has declared that the president is actively building the so-called “New World Order,” according to remarks made during a recent Fox Business appearance. Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, stated on Thursday that President Donald Trump would “create” this new global order ahead of his Davos speech.
When questioned by host Charles Payne about what viewers could expect from Trump’s upcoming address, Hassett said: “There will be some look at the New World Order that President Trump is creating.” He added that nations previously criticizing U.S. tariffs had experienced “pretty good years” under Trump’s economic policies, arguing they now recognize America as “the shining city on the hill again” and “the engine of global economic growth.”
The comments drew immediate criticism from experts. Conspiracy theory analyst Mike Rothschild questioned the statement: “Wasn’t Trump supposed to be the guy who shattered the new world order and spread it to the four winds?”
Separately, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney echoed similar language during his trip to Beijing. At a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Carney declared that Canada’s new strategic partnership with China would usher in “the New World Order.” He stated: “The progress we have made in this partnership sets us up well for the new world order,” emphasizing stability and prosperity for both nations amid global divisions.
Xi Jinping welcomed the cooperation, calling it a “turnaround” of bilateral ties that contributes to “world peace, stability, development, and prosperity.”
